WESTERN DAYS COMMITTEE; Brenda Calloway – chairperson 376-9000 - meet at Mustang Police Dept - Jack Price   co-chair

 

Organize and coordinate the Annual Western Days celebration in September, along with the Mustang Roundup Club, the City of Mustang, Civic Organizations, individuals and chamber members.   Provide volunteers for  parade, food and crafts, chili cook off, entertainment, security, car show, etc….

 

PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE: Jan Foreman – chairperson   354-4848  - meet 2^nd Thurs 10am All America Bank

 

Awareness to the community concerning the Chamber events and activities.  Coordinate and award “Chamber member employee of the month” and “Neat and Clean” given by this committee each month.

 

BANQUET COMMITTEE: Sherry Poage – chairperson   354-3030 – meet at Intrust Bank as needed prior to banquet

 

Organize and plans all aspects of the Annual Chamber Banquet held in May.   This committee is also responsible for the silent auction held in conjunction with the Banquet.

 

MEMBERSHIP/SOCIAL  COMMITTEE: Kathy Burwell   chairperson  350-6655  meet 3^rd Wed 4pm Intrust Bank

 

Activate and maintain membership.   Plan and organize Membership Social Orientation held each quarter to educate new and existing members about committees and help to recruit attendance of those committees.   Plan and distribute the MUSTANG DIRECTORY each May – advertising, content, etc.  Plan and distribute the MUSTANG MAP.  Illustrate ways of adding value to a Chamber membership through special events and Chamber benefits.

 

Encourage attendance at all Chamber functions and activities – specifically Membership-Social Orientations, ribbon cuttings, awards for employee and business of the month.   Develop a volunteer list of chamber members for luncheons and staffing special events.   Organize and support the fall Annual Live Auction and Holiday Bake Sale in November.   Develop new ideas for networking.

 

YOUTH / COMMUNITY EVENTS: Chad Fulton    chairperson   324-1115 

 

Plan and organize all Special Community Events that promote retail, business and the community such as – Spring Golf Tournament and Fall corporate challenge golf tournament. 

 

Acknowledge Student of the Month at monthly chamber luncheon.   Award and raise funds for the Scholarship programs each year.

 

ROADS & LEGISLATION COMMITTEE / ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:

Robert Crout – chairperson 376-3704    meet 2^nd Tues 4pm conference room behind city  council chambers         

 

To advance the economic development of businesses and citizens in our area.  Develop a Spirit of Cooperation with the City of Mustang so as to have a positive influence on the short and long term plans for our community.    Monitor highway and transportation developments and legislative issues.   This committee works with groups having a direct impact on the Mustang business district such as the City of OKC, ODOT, Councilpersons, legislators and surrounding cities.
